Kane Senior Council opens Aurora Community Dining

Kane Senior Council has opened a new Community Dining location in Aurora. Seniors living in Kane County are welcome to attend and dine with other local seniors for lunch at Aurora Senior Services Associates Inc.

Community Dining provides local seniors with a place to connect and enjoy a meal together. Opening a new location at Aurora Senior Services Associates has provided the opportunity to reach more local seniors in and around the Aurora area who are interested in gathering for Community Dining.

Community Dining in Aurora is located at Aurora Senior Services Associates Inc. at 2111 Plum St. in Aurora.

Lunch is provided by the Kane Senior Council and is served every Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon. There is no charge for meals for seniors over 60 years old. Anyone under the age of 60 who attends is required to pay $5 for the meal. The Kane Senior Council does ask for a suggested donation of $5 or more.

"Community Dining at Aurora Senior Services is a blast!" says Holly Rose Moss, senior dining support at Kane Senior Council. "It's a great location to learn about other community events. You will be welcomed here!"

Community Dining provides the opportunity for seniors in the Aurora area to socialize with one another while enjoying a nutritious meal. Both organizations have been working together to ensure the program reaches as many seniors in the Aurora community as possible.

"Senior Services is pleased to have the Kane Senior Council Community Dining program here at the Aurora site," says Sean Kelly, activity coordinator from Aurora Senior Services Associates, Inc. "This is a program that is very beneficial to our seniors and one that we have been promoting within the Aurora community."

The Kane Senior Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), volunteer-driven organization, dedicated to helping seniors live with dignity.
