Salt Smart exhibit at Schaumburg Library focuses on using outdoor salt safely

Schaumburg Township District Library is set to host the "Salt Smart and You" exhibit at its Central Library, now through March 12, 2023.

While road salt keeps our driveways and sidewalks safe, it also pollutes our rivers, lakes and groundwater, including the water we drink. The "Salt Smart and You" exhibit explains how to use salt smartly, how too much salt impacts us and our environment, and more.

"Salt Smart and You" is a traveling exhibit, created in partnership with Schaumburg Township District Library, Gail Borden Public Library District, Aurora Public Library District, Joliet Public Library and Northwest Water Planning Alliance.

See the "Salt Smart and You" exhibit during regular library hours, now through March 12, at Schaumburg Township District Library's Central Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, in Schaumburg.

Schaumburg Township District Library sparks curiosity and enriches its community by connecting services, resources and people.
