The Gamma Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Women Educators recently announced that recruitment grant and scholarship monies are available for high school senior women who intend to prepare for a career in the field of education.

Three $2,000 grant/scholarship opportunities are available.

There is also the opportunity for additional monetary support in the form of book stipends for recipients during their sophomore, junior, and senior years of college; as long as the recipient continues to major in education.

More importantly, the grant/scholarship brings with it an opportunity for mentorship. A community of veteran teachers, future educators, and young educators will provide support and resources throughout the recipients' four years of college.

Any interested senior female graduate of the Class of 2023 who is attending a District 211 school or is nominated by an ILSO Gamma Gamma member, is eligible for these grant/scholarship monies.

Applications for the Nancy J. Harmon Memorial Scholarship, the Anne V. Fussell Scholarship, and the Gamma Gamma Recruitment Grant are available online at gammagamma75.org.

The deadline to electronically submit the application and all supporting materials is April 3, 2023.
