Pantone, the authority in color, names a new color every year, and this year they partnered with Spoonflower, the authority in surface design, for the announcements.

The Viva Magenta challenge was one of the first elements of the partnership. Surface designers were invited to create a design using the Ignite Palette of colors collated by Pantone, using Viva Magenta as the dominant color.

It turned out to be one of Spoonflower's biggest challenge to date, with nearly 1,400 entries and over 80,000 votes cast!

Zoe's Design "Viva Magenta Vineyard" was very much inspired by the color itself.

"The first thought I had when seeing the challenge prompt was a wine bottle and I ran with it from there. The tricky thing was working with the other colors in the ignite palette."

To celebrate the win, Zoe is hosting a fabric giveaway on Instagram.
