7s Discipleship small groups to reconvene

The next set of sessions of the established 7s Discipleship small groups at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley will kick off on Sunday, Jan. 8. Participants will enjoy fellowship time and begin session one of the seven-week study.

"These groups will strive to bring us closer to Jesus so that we can be what Luther called, 'little Christs' to each other," said Donna Kelly, director of connections ministries. "We hope that many will join us and experience what it means to follow Jesus."

The Discipleship Groups, called "The 7s", are offered in 7-week blocks, three times a year. They include learning, fellowship, ministry, and care.

"I encourage participation in The 7s," said Rev. Mark Boster, pastor, Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church. "This gives us the perfect opportunity to meet together and grow our relationships with Christ and others."

It will begin at noon in the church's fellowship hall, 10805 Main St.
