Cary-Grove Area Chamber hosts ribbon cutting and grand opening of La Michoacana Twister

On Thursday, Aug. 28, the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of La Michoacana Twister, 362 Northwest Hwy. in Cary.

La Michoacana Twister brings authentic and traditional Mexican sweet treats such as ice cream and paletas, which are unique fruit-based popsicles, along with savory Mexican snacks. The name La Michoacana comes from the Mexican state, Michoacán, where paletas are said to have originated.

Owners Maria, Carlos, Alejandro, and Guadalupe Rodriguez opened La Michoacana Twister to be a family affair. The location boasts plenty of indoor seating, foosball and air hockey tables, and a toddler play area. "We've got games, tons of seating, and lots of unique and traditional tastes to try," says Carlos. "Stop on by to try some of our tasty treats and say hello!"

La Michoacana Twister's menu includes their house-created ice cream flavors, paletas, fresh fruit juices, bionico (fresh fruit, cream, and nuts), and a varying menu of Mexican snacks like tamales, corn, and gazpacho. The menu fluctuates, encouraging patrons to visit often to try more unique and fresh flavors.

La Michoacana Twister is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Follow La Michoacana Twister Cary on Facebook to see their latest specials, menu options, and flavors. They can be reached by phone at (847) 452-2694.
