Get Ready to Party on the Green on August 13

Stop in at Village Green Park on August 13 for Party on the Green! Bring your family and join Northbrook Park District for a fun, festive day full of live music featuring Wedding Banned, games and giveaways. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The party will conclude with a viewing of "Encanto" at dusk.

Beginning at 4pm, join other party goers for Glitter Tattoos, a Balloon Artist, and Inflatables. Beer, wine and hard seltzers will be available for purchase at the park from Landmark Inn while Soul and Smoke will be offering delicious BBQ.

Once 5pm comes around, expect to be on your feet with Wedding Banned! After being banned from their hometown of Gas City, Indiana for being too wild, Wedding Banned relocated to Chicago and the legend began and is still going strong, 17 years later! Dubbed the "World's Greatest Wedding Band" this interactive group plays tons of rad '80s music and guilty pleasures you and your friends love, whether they'll admit it or not.

Recreation Division Manager Katie Kotloski is excited to end the season on a high note, stating "This one of a kind event in Northbrook is a fun way to celebrate the end of a great summer. Come out for a final hurrah before school starts to enjoy a true Party on the Green!"

Party on the Green is for all ages and offers something for everyone. The Village Green playground along with each activity and attraction will be fenced in as part of the event space for all to enjoy. Families can play together, dance and sing together, and enjoy a fun filled night in the park together! Feel free to bring chairs/blankets. No outside food or beverages will be allowed; no coolers.

The presenting sponsor for this event is Northbrook Bank and Trust.
