AAUW's annual book sale returns to Wheaton June 23-25

The annual book sale organized by the Wheaton-Glen Ellyn branch of the American Association of University Women is returning on June 23-25 after a two-year hiatus.

For over 50 years, the branch has raised over $10,000 per year to fund scholarships for four local high school girls.

This year's event will be held in the spacious, air-conditioned gymnasium at Briar Glen Elementary School, 1800 Briarcliff Blvd. in Wheaton. Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 23-24, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 25.

The sale will feature fiction, including science fiction, mystery, romance, classics, and popular books; nonfiction, including history, politics, biographies, and autobiographies; young adult books; and children's books.

On Saturday, there will be a $10 a bag sale.

They are currently accepting book donations through May 31, during open hours, at Wheaton Sports Center, 1000 W. Prairie Ave. in Wheaton; Health Track, 875 E. Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn; and Wheaton Park District, 1777 S. Blanchard St., Wheaton.
