Heritage Oaks Golf Club Named #1 Public Driving Range by Chicago Golf Report

Northbrook Park District's Heritage Oaks Golf Club has been awarded the title of Chicago's #1 Public Course Driving Range by Chicago Golf Report, labeled an honor by Director of Golf Operations Greg Baron who also said the entire staff is "tremendously grateful" for the recognition.

After almost two full seasons of construction, Heritage Oaks re-opened in August 2021, making 2022 its first full year of operations following course renovations and new clubhouse construction that started in December 2019. The award-winning driving range has welcomed a steady flow of golfers since opening for the season on March 16.

The Practice Range at Heritage Oaks features TrackMan technology, six target greens, Titleist Tour practice range balls and Real Feel Golf Mats. Part of what makes Heritage Oaks' driving range so popular is its TrackMan technology, allowing each shot to be traced using doppler radar. The free downloadable app tracks eight key data points including carry, ball speed, launch angle, side distance, total distance, height, launch direction and distance from the pin. In addition to analyzing shots, TrackMan also hosts a variety of engaging and fun interactive games that will help improve the golf game with friendly competition. Heritage Oaks is proud to be the first driving range with a complete installation of TrackMan technology in Illinois.
