Tap into spring with the Itasca Fruhlingsfest spring craft beer fest April 30
Tickets are available for the Itasca Fruhlingsfest, a spring craft beer tasting festival in celebration of Church Street Brewing's 10th anniversary.
It will be 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Church Street Brewing, 1480 Industrial Drive in Itasca
Proceeds support the Boy Scouts of America's Three Fires Council serving 14,000 Scouts in DuPage, DeKalb, Kane, Kendall and parts of Cook and Will counties.
VIP admission for $60 includes an early tasting of the special release beers and a free 16 oz. commemorative glass, as well as access to the beer festival from noon to 1 p.m.
General admission tickets for 1 to 5 p.m. are $50. Designated driver tickets are $20. Advance tickets are available through Friday, April 29, at conta.cc/3IEND6H.
Tickets at the door are $60-$70.
Tasting glasses will be provided as part of the fee. Pint glasses will be on sale day of the event. Good Time Heroes, jam rock and reggae band from Downers Grove, will perform from 1 to 4 p.m.
You must be 21 years old to attend; IDs will be checked day of the fest.
Volunteer opportunities are available. For $25, you can spend half the day at the festival and the other half helping out. The shifts are 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 6 p.m.
The current list of participating breweries includes: Church Street Brewing, Buffalo Creek Brewing, Dry City Brew Works, Elmhurst Brewing Co., Energy City Brewing, Half Day Brewing, Pollyanna Roselare, Tighthead Brewing, Will County Brewing, and Two Brothers Brewing. Enjoy drinks from Standard Meadery, Second City Meadery, The Finnish Long Drink, and Gigawatt Coffee.
Food will be available from Dulce Tentaciónes Taco Truck, as well as sweets from Lincoln Land Kettle Corn and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
