Willow Creek Community Church to host Easter services and activities at seven Chicago area locations April 9-17

Church Campuses to Host Easter Services, Along with Family Activities Like Helicopter Egg Drop and Kid's Easter Party, Easter Jam, April 9 thru 17.

Willow Creek Community Church will host a variety of Easter services and activities at its seven Chicago area church campuses, April 9 thru 17. Service times and activities vary by campus and will include traditional Easter egg hunts and a pair of not-so-traditional events with a spectacular helicopter egg drop at the church's Huntley location, and a huge children's party, called Easter Jam, in South Barrington.

Easter Jam, hosted by the Willow Kids children's ministry, is described as "an Easter party big enough for all the family." The event invites kids of all ages to take part in games, music, lots of fun surprises, and to help the team solve a great mystery!

Beth Boge, Willow Kids children's pastor at the South Barrington campus, said, "This will be our first time doing a large-scale family experience for Easter. After seeing the kid's delight at our Christmas "Jingle Jam" Experience, we couldn't wait to host another for Easter too!"

The helicopter egg drop, geared toward elementary-aged kids and their families, returns to Huntley after last year's debut.

"The egg drop is a fun way to include families and children in our Easter weekend activities at Willow Creek, and we look forward to seeing more great expressions of awe as the helicopter circles," said Shannon Swift, Huntley Associate Campus pastor.

Willow Creek South Barrington:

Easter Jam party for kids and Easter services. South Barrington will host Easter Jam on Saturday, April 9, at 10 a.m., as part of the church's Easter weekend celebration. Described as "a party big enough for the whole family," Easter Jam will include games, music, fun surprises and a mystery that needs to be solved! Families are invited to stay and picnic after the program with food trucks available in the parking lot. Doors open at 9:45 a.m, and the program will last approximately one hour. Easter Jam is free to attend and open to anyone in the community.

Along with Easter Jam, the South Barrington campus will offer Easter services on Sunday, April 17, at 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in the main auditorium. Advance registration is not required.

Willow Creek Huntley:

Helicopter egg drop for kids and Easter services. Easter services on the Huntley campus will occur on Saturday, April 16, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., with a helicopter egg drop for kids taking place in-between service times. Additional Easter services will take place on Sunday, April 17, at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Willow Creek Crystal Lake:

An Eggstravaganza for kids and Easter services. A brand new Eggstravaganza Easter experience for children, hosted by Willow Kids, will be held on Saturday, April 9, from 3 p.m. till 5 p.m. The event will feature an Egg Dash, food, crafts, inflatables, yard games, petting zoo, and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. This event is free to attend and open to all in the community.

Willow Creek Wheaton:

Easter services including an Easter Sunday sunrise service. Easter services on the Wheaton campus will occur on Sunday, April 17, and include an outdoor sunrise service at 6:15 a.m. and indoor services at the church at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. More information is available at willowwheaton.org/easter.

Willow Creek South Lake (Buffalo Grove):

Easter services with a children's Easter egg hunt between services. A free Easter egg hunt will be hosted by Willow Kids ministry in between their Easter Sunday services. Easter services will be held at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, with the egg hunt taking place from 10.30 a.m.

There will be two egg hunts, for different ages. The egg hunts are free to join, registration is requested. More information on the hunts, and Easter services can be found at willowsouthlake.org/easter.

Additional Easter services will take place at Willow Creek campuses in Chicago, and North Shore (Glenview), and Spanish speakers are also invited to join the Willow Espanol congregation, gathering at the Lakeside Auditorium on the South Barrington Campus.
