7s Discipleship small groups to reconvene at Huntley church

The second session of the established 7s Discipleship small groups at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church in Huntley will kick off at noon Sunday, Jan. 16, in the church's fellowship hall.

Participants will enjoy a pizza lunch, fellowship time, and begin session one of the seven-week study.

"Our seven-week study will focus on 'What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus?'," said Donna Kelly, connections minister and facilitator. "We hope that many will join in with these small groups and experience what it means to follow Jesus."

The Discipleship Groups, called "The 7s," are offered in seven-week blocks, three times a year. The first began in fall 2021 and upon conclusion of this January seven-week course, will resume again after Easter. They include learning, fellowship, ministry, and care.

"I encourage participation in 'The 7s'," said Rev. Mark Boster, pastor. "This gives us the perfect opportunity to meet together and grow our relationships with Christ and others."

People can sign up on the Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church website at sotp.org under "7s Discipleship Groups".
