Aurora University Online launches digital credentials in healthcare policy, management and quality

Aurora University Online now offers digital credentials, or badges, in healthcare as part of its Master of Business Administration program.

Students can choose from options in healthcare policy, healthcare management, and healthcare quality.

Completing all three badges allows students to earn a Healthcare Leadership Expert meta-badge.

These competency-based, verified digital credentials enable students to display specialized knowledge and skill sets across social media platforms, on webpages and with their contacts.

With AU Online badges, students can build a portfolio of validated knowledge and skills that can help them gain leadership opportunities by conveying their expertise to recruiters and potential employers.

"Aurora University's digital healthcare badges prepare students to excel in leadership roles in the healthcare field," said Toby Arquette, PhD, dean of the Dunham School of Business and Public Policy. "By earning one or more of the digital badges offered by the MBA program, students can stand out to employers when competing with others for in-demand career opportunities."

AU Online also offers a series of digital organizational leadership credentials through its MBA and Master of Public Administration (MPA) programs. These badges are designed to build students' skills in change management and strategic management. They include organizational change leader, organizational team leader and organizational strategic leader. Like the healthcare badges, the leadership options lead to an expert meta-badge.

Students in the MBA and MPA programs can earn digital credentials by enrolling in an applicable course and completing all key assessments with a grade of 90% or better.

Upon earning each digital credential, students receive notification of the awarded badge from Credly, a global credentialing platform.
