Hines VA Hospital to host virtual town hall for women veterans Sept. 15

Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital in Hines will host a virtual town hall for women veterans on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m., via Facebook.

The forum will focus on COVID-19 and visitation updates, intimate partner violence, military sexual trauma, mammography, maternity care, post-9/11 military to VA services, women's mental health, and the women enhance recruitment process.

The event is open to all area women veterans, regardless of if they receive VA health care. Veterans can participate via www.Facebook.com/HinesVAHospital. Questions and comments will be taken throughout the event.

"Women Veterans are among the fastest-growing group at Hines, but they're still a small portion of our patient population," said Krystal Gilewski, Women Veterans program manager at Hines. "It's important to create a safe environment for women Veterans to express their unique needs and for us to listen and provide resources."

For more information, contact Krystal Gilewski at Krystal.Gilewski@va.gov or (708) 202-8387, ext. 22075.
