Schaumburg Library's Genealogy Program to Highlight Naturalization Records

Anyone interested in genealogy is welcome to attend "Finding Naturalization Records" from 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 13 online with the Schaumburg Township District Library. Registration is required at SchaumburgLibrary.org. Those who register will receive a Zoom link.

Presenter Teresa Steinkamp-McMillin will discuss naturalization records and the important role they play in researching immigrant ancestors. She will talk about the history and procedural changes of the U.S. naturalization process and provide steps to finding these records. Steinkamp-McMillin recently created and recorded two courses for Ancestry Academy at Ancestry.com and has taught at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR). She is the webmaster for the Northwest Suburban Genealogy Society in Arlington Heights and a genealogy volunteer at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.
