The Streamwood Park District's new 5K Run is even brighter and more colorful than its predecessor.

On Saturday, June 12, join the Streamwood Park District as it introduces a new 5K to the community - the Color Fun Run.

The Color Fun Run is more about making memories and having fun than worrying about your mile time. Whether you run, walk or dance across the finish line, participants can celebrate completing the happiest 5K in the area.

The Color Fun Run is an environment where everyone feels comfortable getting active, no matter their age or ability level. Whether you're young or old, you'll feel at home. So come with your friends, neighbors, family and loved ones. Everyone is welcome!

Runners will get doused with food-grade quality cornstarch that is biodegradable, non-toxic, and 100% safe. Volunteers will be located at color stations with buckets of color. Each station features a new color.

Registration is now open. Interested participants can register online at streamwoodparks.org/color-fun-run, or in person at Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd., in Streamwood.

The Streamwood Park District serves more than 40,000 Streamwood residents, offering hundreds of seasonal programs. Ranging from fitness, aquatics, youth and adult athletics, the Streamwood Park District strives to accommodate the diverse Streamwood community on a daily basis with a multitude of programs, events and classes.

The Streamwood Park District has been serving the Streamwood community since 1966.
