Library program offers updates on COVID-19

Prevention and treatment of COVID-19 will be the topic of an online program from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17 on Zoom, offered by the Schaumburg Township District Library.

"COVID-19 Pandemic: Prevention, Treatment and Vaccines" will be presented by Dr. Vishnu Chundi, chair of the COVID Task Force for the Chicago Medical Society, and hosts Dr. Neetha Dhananjaya and Dr. Sudha Bhoopalam, health care awareness committee members of the Illinois Indian American Medical Association.

Participants will receive up-to-date information on the pandemic and have the opportunity to ask questions during this live event. Questions can also be emailed prior to the program to sbhargava@stdl.org, with the subject line: COVID-19 program.

This is an informational session only. Anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should seek advice or medical treatment from their primary doctor or the nearest hospital.

The Schaumburg Township District Library and its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park are open to the public with limited capacity and hours in accordance with COVID guidelines.
