Library Program Targets College Financial Aid Letters

Receiving financial aid for college can be a long and complicated process, but attending the Schaumburg Township District Library's program, "Understanding a College Financial Aid Award Letter," can help bring clarity. This online program takes place from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, on Zoom. High school students and their parents or caregivers must register to attend. A Zoom link will be provided once registration is complete.

Presenter Thomas Jaworski of Quest College Consulting will help adults and students better understand financial aid award letters, which are sent out after a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is submitted. Participants will see examples of letters as the presenter explains their statements and numbers. The program will include time for questions.

A full list of online library programs is available at SchaumburgLibrary.org. All three library buildings are closed until further notice, in accordance with the governor's COVID-19 guidelines.
