Schaumburg Library is offering online Excel classes in December

Though buildings are temporarily closed, the Schaumburg Township District Library will continue offering its computer classes, including the following Excel classes, available in December.

All online classes, programs, crafts, etc. will be available for free while the library buildings are closed to the public.

The following programs require registration and take place on Zoom. To register, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org and choose "Events" to find the program listings. Those who register will receive a Zoom link prior to the class.

Excel 1 will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 5. Participants will learn to create a spreadsheet, enter basic formulas and create a basic chart. Prerequisite: Word 1 or Senior Word 1.

Excel Formulas and Functions is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 9. Those joining the class will learn to use basic statistical, lookup and financial functions in Excel. Prerequisite: Excel 1.

Excel Formatting Spreadsheets will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 10. Participants will learn how to apply borders and shading, freeze panes, hide cells and add a header and footer. Prerequisite: Excel 1.
