North Suburban YMCA to Host Virtual Holiday Pop-Up Art Show

The North Suburban YMCA has announced a Virtual Pop-Up Art Show to support the local artist community during the pandemic. Over 30 local artists will display and sell their unique crafts, jewelry, photos, and paintings online from November 27 through December 6.

Buyers can pick up their art purchases at the Y, located at 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook, and have them ready for the holidays.

An online preview of the art show will be available Monday, November 23 at http://nsymca.org/artpopupshow.

"The NSYMCA has a long history of supporting our local art community and we're thrilled to provide an opportunity to access their fine work by making it available online," commented North Suburban YMCA's CEO Kathy Fielding. "The art will make heart-felt holiday gifts and every purchase will help those in need."

In addition to supporting the Y's local artists, many of whom have special needs, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Y's "Revive Our Y"campaign.

The NSYMCA also offers a variety of art classes for all ages, both in person and virtual for pre-k, youth, adult, and families. For information about the Y's Visual Arts Program or the Holiday Art Pop-Up Sale, contact Cathie Winnie at cwinnie@nsymca.org.
