Schaumburg Library Extends Hours and Services Starting Nov. 1

Starting Sunday, Nov. 1, all Schaumburg Township District Library locations will extend their hours, services, and capacity limits. The drive-up window will be available with a five-item per car limit, however Curbside Pickup at the Central Library in Schaumburg will end. Buildings will remain open to the public throughout the day without a midday closure, and seniors and vulnerable individuals will still have their own designated morning hours at all three libraries in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park.

"We're grateful to our patrons for their ongoing support, and excited to be offering more hours and services," said Annie Miskewitch, the library's executive director. "We'll continue to make health and safety a priority and follow guidelines from the governor's office and public health officials."

Changes additionally include the opening of the Central Library's new "holds" room, where patrons can pick up books and other library materials they've put on hold. It is located on the first floor, adjacent to the check-out desks. Patrons are also welcome to pick up holds from the new outdoor book locker, located near the west entrance of the Central Library.

For details about the hours and services at all three library locations, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org, where information on programs, resources, and upcoming events is also available.
