Teens can submit art for virtual gallery at Schaumburg library

Teens ages 12-19 years are invited to feature their art in the Schaumburg Township District Library's Virtual Art Gallery from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, on Zoom.

After registering, participants will receive a Zoom link at least one hour prior to the program. Those who register and don't receive the link in their email inbox should check their spam folder.

Art showcased in this gallery program can be in any medium, including photography, watercolor, illustrations, sculpture, etc. To have artwork showcased, teen artists should submit their digital artwork or a photo of their art to teenservices@stdl.org.

In addition to being featured in the Virtual Art Gallery, artwork will be linked to QR codes that will be posted in frames on the library's second floor.

Participating teens will have the opportunity to view each other's artwork, discuss their artwork (optional) and have the chance to win a prize.

The Schaumburg Township District Library and its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park are open with limited services and capacity. Visit SchaumburgLibrary.org or call (847) 985-4000 for hours and other details.
