Department of Defense patients and families encouraged to participate in next Lovell Federal Health Care Center Tele-Town Hall Aug. 13

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. - The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center's next Community Tele-Town Hall from 5-6 p.m., Aug. 13, will target the facility's Department of Defense patients, including military family members and military retirees.

The town hall is an opportunity to learn about TRICARE health care, FHCC services, and to participate in an interactive question and answer session led by Lovell FHCC Director Dr. Robert Buckley and Deputy Director/Commanding Officer Capt. Thomas Nelson.

The tele-town hall is done in a format like a radio talk show. Participants receive an automated call prior to the start of the town hall asking them to join. Then they may provide their question to a screener and are placed in the queue to potentially ask their question in front of the live audience. Participants who aren't called on and/or can't listen to the entire call may leave voice mails with their questions. All questions left on voice mail during and after the call will be answered.

Department of Defense patients who have had an appointment at the FHCC in the past three months and those who have appointments currently scheduled will receive an automated call asking them to participate, immediately before the start time. Those who have not had a recent appointment and don't have one scheduled still may participate by sending their phone numbers to FHCC.Feedback@va.gov by noon, Aug. 12.
