Library Invites All Ages to Join Summer Challenge

"Dig Deeper," the Schaumburg Township District Library Summer Challenge, began in June and will continue for all ages through Saturday, Aug. 15. Options for every age and stage of life are included in the challenge, and participants win a prize after earning five badges. The first badge is earned when a person registers for the challenge.

For kids, options for earning badges include reading books and doing word searches, conducting experiments, creating art and taking nature walks. The children's prize for completing five badges is a book.

Teens will be entered into a drawing to win an online gift card once they've earned five badges for reading. They can also share the titles of books they'd recommend by sending an email to read@stdl.org. Titles received will be placed on the Summer Favorites List.

Adults who complete the Summer Challenge will receive a library tote bag, while supplies last.

To register, go to SchaumburgLibrary.org /read. Those who previously registered for a library challenge may use their same log in information to join the new program. Once the challenge is completed, participants should inform the library by sending an email to read@stdl.org .
