Join famous Northbrook natives on Facebook Live for Q&A sessions

Northbrook Park District is hosting a series of Facebook Live events, inviting prominent Northbrook natives to answer questions and discuss their achievements in sports, theater and other fields.

The park district's first Northbrook Native Spotlight event is set for Wednesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. featuring Glenbrook North High School alumnus Chris Collins, head coach of the men's basketball program at Northwestern University.

Collins will talk about growing up in Northbrook, playing basketball at GBN, his college experiences at Duke University and his current role as a head coach for a Big 10 school.

"We're excited to have Chris participate in this series, talk and answer viewer questions," said Recreation Supervisor Cameron Edelman. "There have been many current and former Northbrook residents who have gone on to do amazing things and this is a great opportunity for the community to meet some of them."
