Teens can find digital entertainment at Schaumburg Library

Teens who are sheltering in place may want to visit the Schaumburg Township District Library's website, where they can find a multitude of fun activities, homework help, movies, crafts, webcast serials and even a virtual escape room.

These online teen programs are available for free by going to SchaumburgLibrary.org and clicking on "Events" at the top of the page, then "Teen." Almost all of the programs can still be accessed for several days after the event has passed.

Opportunities include suggestions for daily acts of kindness, craft demos and fun surveys. A weekly cooking demo will debut at 3 p.m. Friday, April 17, featuring Teen Librarian Joe Marcantonio, head of the library's Teen Place.

Also coming April 17 is Family Trivia Night, which takes place from 7-7:30 p.m. In this live event, teams will work together to beat the clock as they compete against other teams. Family Trivia Night will take place on Zoom and Crowdpurr.
