Pathaway to Living Promotes Sue Schaefer to Regional Director of Operations

Pathway to Living, a Chicago-based developer, owner and operator of senior housing and senior housing arm of Chicago-based real estate investor and operator Waterton, promoted Sue Schaefer of Lake in the Hills to regional director of operations.

Schaefer will oversee operations and the implementation of Pathway's award-winning VIVA! lifestyle at Illinois's northern-area senior living communities, including Azpira Place of Lake Zurich, Oak Hill Supportive Living in Round Lake Beach, Victory Centre of Vernon Hills, Victory Centre of Bartlett and Alexian Village in Elk Grove.

As the former executive director of Azpira Place of Lake Zurich since its opening in May 2017, Schaefer said, "My goal is to continue to work with team members to create vibrant communities that offer an engaging lifestyle, feature a loving approach and feel like home."

Schaefer was previously the executive director of Heritage Woods of Huntley. A graduate of the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Schaefer earned a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
