Palatine Jaycee Christmas Tree Sale features new updates
The Palatine Jaycees will be hosting their annual Christmas Tree Sale in the Palatine Park District Aquatic Center parking lot this Holiday season to raise funds to help individuals and civic groups throughout the Palatine area.
The sale will run from Friday, November 29th through Sunday, December 22nd. On November 29th the tree lot will be open from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM. During the rest of the sale, hours will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Fridays, on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Aquatic Center parking lot is located on Palatine Road just west of Northwest Highway behind the Walgreens at 340 East Palatine Road.
"We will be offering a variety of fresh-cut, long and short needle trees, wreaths and garland at special pricing," states Courtney Kulig, Co-Chair of the project. "Shoppers can choose from our selection of Scotch Pine, Blue Spruce, Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir and Fraser Fir in a variety of sizes at competitive prices."
The Jaycees will also be sponsoring a Santa's Mailbox. Children will be able to mail a letter to Santa from a mailbox on the Christmas tree lot. As a special addition this year, on December 14th Santa will be at the tree lot to take pictures and listen to wishes in person. See the Palatine Jaycee website for more information. Santa will respond to any letter dropped in the box before December 15th. Please include a legible return address on your envelope.
"We are excited to announce that this year we are able to accept credit cards in addition to cash," said Megan O'Brien, Co-Chair of the project. "We provide a variety of extra services for our customers. Baling is available to make transporting your tree easier. We also offer drilling services for specialized tree stands."
"Our Christmas Tree Sale has always been one of my favorite projects," said Co-Chair Jenny Levin. "We get to share the Holiday spirit with our neighbors. Then, all the proceeds from the sale allow the Palatine Jaycees to continue our involvement in the community."
