Foundation Wealth Strategies donates to Kendall County Community Food Pantry

The Kendall County Community Food Pantry recently received more than $2,000 in monetary and grocery items as part of Foundation Wealth Strategies' annual client appreciation event Aug. 16 at Northwestern Medicine field in Geneva.

Over 200 guests watched as the Kane County Cougars edged out the Peoria Chiefs 4-3.

"We are thrilled to support the Kendall County Community Food Pantry this year as part of our annual commitment to local charities," said Foundation Wealth Strategies co-founder and current President Timothy J. Rueter.

"The funds we collected will directly support Kendall County Community Food Pantry's effort to combat hunger, a challenge facing many families in our surrounding communities," Rueter added.

Each year, the employees at Foundation Wealth Strategies pick a local charity that will receive the proceeds of donations collected at the event.

Clients and guests attending the event enjoyed baseball, food and various giveaways.

Every $1 dollar donated during the event helped Kendall County Community Food Pantry provide $8 in groceries for their weekly self-choice food pantry secured through the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
