4500 Fitness rings in the new year with new branding, special promotion and open house

To ring in the new year, the Downers Grove Park District is excited to launch new branding for 4500 Fitness as well as fitness promotions and an open house for those looking to begin health-related resolutions in 2019.

On Saturday, Jan. 5, visitors can take advantage of special offers, tour the facility and enjoy free fitness activities. The park district's full-service fitness center is located in the Downers Grove Recreation Center at 4500 Belmont Road.

From Dec. 31 to Jan. 6, 4500 Fitness is offering a "New Year, New You!" promotion with zero enrollment to new members on all memberships, which start as low as $25.50.

In addition, students who are looking to stay fit over the holiday break can purchase a Student Winter Break Pass for one week or one month through Jan. 16.

From noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 5, the "New Year, New You" open house will highlight the newly renovated locker rooms at 4500 Fitness, which feature new wall and floor tile, fresh carpeting in locker areas and new quartz countertops and fixtures. Visitors also can demo 21 pieces of new fitness equipment that just arrived in December and include Technogym treadmills and flexibility machines; Precor treadmills, adaptive motion trainers, ellipticals and a stairmaster and Life Fitness cross trainers and treadmills.

The first 500 visitors will receive a complimentary 4500 Fitness water bottle featuring the new branding.

Free activities from noon to 4 p.m. include access to the fitness center, open gym, Fitzone and group exercise classes. A full schedule of activities and membership information is available at www.dgparks.org.
