Project Runway All Star to emcee auxiliary event

Peach Carr, Chicago designer and Project Runway All Star, will emcee "The Art of Fashion" dinner and fashion show, an event to benefit the Northwestern Memorial Foundation.

The event, hosted by the Auxiliary of Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage and Delnor hospitals, begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Abbington Distinctive Banquets, 3S002 Route 53, Glen Ellyn.

"We are especially excited to have Peach Carr emcee our event because of her connection to Central DuPage Hospital," auxiliary President Sandy Moran said.

"Peach grew up in Winfield, and before her 'Project Runway' fame, she was an X-ray technician at the hospital."

The event also will feature:

• Fashions from BriZan Couture, Deans Clothing, JAYNE, and Jeans and a Cute Top Shop;

• Rosemary Fanti creating fashion illustrations throughout the evening;

• A gift for each guest from Beautiful Fighter skin care products;

• Silent auction with items such as designer jewelry and bags, tickets to major Chicago sports events, sports memorabilia, excursions and more;

• Live auction, including a Chicago Helicopter Experience package for 12.

The fashion show is presented with the expertise of Zzazz Productions, featuring York Furrier.

Tickets are $75, with a tax-deductible portion of $34, and include a chicken or vegetarian dinner, open bar and the fashion show.

Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, March 1. Bidding for silent auction items will be available in advance. For details, visit foundation.nm.org/events.html.
