"It all started with the pandemic We needed something to do. This is version 2.0," said Colin Gilbert. "The first version we didn't know what we were doing."

A carriage full of people returns to the Fifth Annual Cocoa Crawl Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Long Grove. Sponsored by Long Grove Coffee and Confectionery and Village Tavern, the hot cocoa-related creations were poured (at no charge) and enjoyed outdoors by visitors as they stroll around town visiting participating boutiques, shops, and restaurants.

Terri Lewis, 73, is confined to a wheelchair but makes paintings in her assisted living home in Wheeling. In the library she dabs inks in a preplanned layout, then adds alcohol and uses a hair dryer to spread and dry the paint for an abstract painting. "You can see many different things (in the design)," she says. "That's the fun of it."
