Northfield police make arrests in 3-year theft investigation

Two arrests have been made following an investigation into a 2017 from a Northfield business, police said.
Josefina M. Camacho, 38, of 5834 W. Waveland Ave., Chicago; and Irina M. Pavchinskaya-Cedano, 35, of 1104 Castilian Court, Glenview, were arrested Oct. 1 at the Northfield Police Department, officials stated. Each were charged with one count of felony theft stemming from an investigation into a theft of more than $83,000 from a business on the 400 block of Central Ave. Police were called on Nov. 3, 2017, after the company's director suspected that one or more employees were embezzling money.
Camacho and Pavchinskaya-Cedano had bond hearings and are next due in court Oct. 23 in Skokie.
