PowerVolt acquires PREM Magnetics' line of transformers
ADDISON - PowerVolt Inc. said it has acquired Johnsburg-based Prem Magnetics Inc.'s Standard Power Transformers line.
"PowerVolt's acquisition of Prem Magnetics Standard Power Transformers is a strategic fit for our continued growth and global expansion," said Brij Sharma, CEO at PowerVolt, a supplier of power transformers and linear DC power supplies.
Operations will continue in Addison with multiple manufacturing sites. PowerVolt Group consists of PowerVolt, Wabash Transformer and Ensign Corp.
Prem Magnetics specializes in crafting power coils and inductors for applications ranging from HVAC to emergency lighting.
