Wheaton Public Library kicks off Beatles exhibit with outdoor concert Oct. 9

Wheaton Public Library will host "4EVER4: 60 Years of the Beatles," a 10-tower photo exhibit featuring nearly 100 photographs of the Beatles from Oct. 9-30 in its Arts and Culture Center on the main floor of the library, 225 N. Cross St.

The exhibit is presented by Republic Bank of Chicago.

The exhibit features photos of the Beatles performing, their antics offstage, their movies, record albums, concert posters, ticket stubs, contracts, touring schedules, and other historical photos. 

Wheaton Public Library is kicking off the exhibit with an outdoor concert with the Beatles acoustic trio, Kaleidoscope Eyes, at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, on the West Plaza.

This concert is co-sponsored by the Wheaton League of Women Voters as part of a Rock the Vote campaign to encourage adults to register to vote. Attendees must bring seating. Performance will be held inside the library in case of inclement weather.

The library also will host a hybrid lecture given by John F. Lyons, author of "Joy and Fear: The Beatles, Chicago and the 1960s," at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11.
