Northbrook's J.T. Compher, Colorado Avalanche celebrate Stanley Cup win
Northbrook's J.T. Compher was among the Colorado Avalanche players celebrating the team's first NHL Stanley Cup championship since 2001 when it defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in game six in Florida Sunday.
Compher, 27, who plays left wing, had five goals and three assists in the playoffs. He is the brother of Team USA women's hockey player Jesse Compher, who won a silver medal at the Beijing Olympics.
Following the game - and after celebrating with his teammates - Compher and his joined his family on the ice for photos with the Stanley Cup.
