Northbrook seniors assist in food donation drive

The Northfield Township Food Pantry is in need of donations, and members of the Northbrook Senior Center are stepping up.

In partnership with Whitehall of Deerfield, the senior center is collecting nonperishable donations that can make an immediate difference to those experiencing food insecurity.

Senior center members and volunteers will be hosting a Drive-By Drop Off for the Food Pantry from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 10, in the Leisure Center parking lot, 3323 Walters Ave., Northbrook.

Some items on the food pantry's "Most Wanted" list include oatmeal, coffee, tea, canned fruit, granola bars, and canned protein.

For a complete list of items, or to volunteer to help with this event, call Eilleen Gabriel-Galan at (847) 291-2995.
