Friendship Village Residents Raise $4,800 For World Central Kitchen

More than $4,800 was raised in the period of two weeks for World Central Kitchen (WCK). The residents of Friendship Village in Schaumburg raised the money for the not-for-profit organization that provides meals to disaster survivors.

The residents of the senior living community who are passionate about world events, have been concerned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and wanted to participate as a community in supporting humanitarian relief efforts.

Friendship Senior Options Foundation is the philanthropic affiliate of Friendship Senior Options, which oversees Friendship Village. When the fundraising drive was complete, the Foundation wrote a check for the amount collected to WCK.
