Hit the ice in Northbrook for some Cosmic Skating

Monthly Cosmic Skating events are scheduled at the Northbrook Sports Center. These fun family nights include ice skating, DJ music, games and activities for all ages.

Cosmic Skating continues in 2022 from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 22, Feb. 19 and March 12 at the Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road. The fee is $7 per person; skate rental is available for $3.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Northbrook Park District has followed guidance from national, state, county and local authorities. At this time, Northbrook Park District is following Cook County Department of Public Health Mitigation Order 2021-11, which was updated on Jan. 3.

Following this order, proof of vaccination for ages 19 and older is required for participants in figure skating, hockey, public skating and Cosmic Skating. Masks are required for all indoor events and programs for children ages 2 and older.

Many indoor ice programs are also listed in the Northbrook Park District Winter Guide, which is available at nbparks.org.

Ice programs include Skating School lessons, Learn to Speedskate Class, Freestyle Sessions, Off-Ice classes, Open Hockey, Instructional Hockey and the 52nd Annual Northbrook-On-Ice performances.

Summer camp opportunities include Skate and Dance Camp and Hockey Training Academy. Registration is open now for residents and nonresidents.
