Stop by Touch-a-Truck event Aug. 12

The Algonquin Township Highway Department, along with the Fox River Grove Lions Club, is sponsoring its annual Touch-a-Truck event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12.

They will be featuring a helicopter, a 40-foot crane, police and fire vehicles, a John Deere 5100 E Tractor equipped with a stump grinder, tow trucks, a Pink Ready Mix Truck, Cub Cadet garden tractors, Large Wing Plow Truck, a National Night Out "Show Car", an armored Humvee, a garbage truck and a number of other exciting vehicles for children of all ages to experience.

Other highlights include a DJ, balloon animals, face painting and a bouncy house. There will be hot dogs, brats and drinks for sale, provided by the Fox River Grove Lions Club.
