Northwestern College Participates in Cisco System's Rosemont Blood Drive

[Rosemont, IL] Several staff members at Northwestern College's Rosemont Administrative Office stepped up this week to participate in a Blood Drive hosted by Cisco Systems. The two companies share office space at 9501 Technology Drive, across from the Rosemont Theater and adjacent to the Factory Outlets of Chicago Mall. With the blood supply in the Chicagoland area low due to inclement weather and the subsequent increase in need, Cisco Systems partnered with LifeSource and hosted a Blood Drive on Monday, February 9 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. at its Rosemont offices. Through Cisco's efforts, twenty two (22) units of blood were collected!

Northwestern College has consistently hosted blood drives each year at their campuses in Bridgeview and Chicago (Jefferson Park), opening them up to the public to participate as well as their faculty, staff and students. In the spirit of community service, upon receipt of the invitation to donate, the College invited each of its Rosemont staff and administrators to consider donating to Cisco's Blood Drive in their building. Numerous Northwestern College employees stepped forward and answered that call.

Special thanks to Cisco Systems for its attention to community needs, to LifeSource for providing the skilled staff to facilitate the donations, and to Culvers for providing a free pint of fresh frozen custard to all blood donors that day, in support of Culver's "Give-A-Pint/Get-A-Pint" initiative.
