Administer Justice celebrates 15 years of serving the local community

Elgin-based nonprofit Administer Justice will celebrate 15 years of serving the local community on Saturday, Feb. 14.

What was once the vision of a single attorney has grown into one of the country's leading Christian legal aid providers, ensuring justice for thousands of individuals each year.

Administer Justice provides civil legal assistance to thousands of low income area residents. Single parents seeking protective rights for their children, elderly victims of fraud and victims of domestic violence and human trafficking are served by the organization.

In addition to free legal assistance, Administer Justice also advocates for vulnerable individuals and families through financial counseling, conflict coaching and educational services designed to empower those in poverty.

The organization served more than 4,500 individuals in 2014 with the help of hundreds of volunteers, including 139 volunteer attorneys. Collectively, Administer Justice volunteers donated over 10,000 hours last year to serve those in need.

To commemorate the organization's 15th anniversary, Administer Justice is challenging 1,500 individuals to donate $10 by texting the word "Justice" to the number 20222. Donations can also be made by visiting www.administerjustice.org.
