An upcoming indie horror flick, "Haeger's Pass," is set to begin filming in Elgin.

This film follows four friends as they embark on a weekend camping trip. Their names are Blaine, Courtney, Adam, and Olivia. On the way to the site, Blaine reveals that he shares an eerie past within the area they're planning to set up camp.

When Blaine was a child, he frequently visited the same location with his father. Although he was too young to remember what would happen on the trips, he remembers his father's stories of a "woman in white" that could be found throughout the woods. When strange things start happening to the campers, they are forced to come face-to-face with Blaine's dark childhood and the horrifying stories which keep the campsite secluded.

This film, written and directed by an Elgin native, will feature a very talented cast/crew including an actor that you can check out on his recurring role in the upcoming season of NBC's "Chicago Fire," as well as an appearance on "Chicago PD." Additionally, members of the crew have worked on set of films such as "Transformers: Age of Extinction" and "Jupiter Ascending."

This film is currently crowdfunding, which you can find here: igg.me/at/haegerspass/x/8337243.
