Schaumburg Park District board recognizes private partnerships

The Schaumburg Park District Board of Commissioners at its Thursday, Aug. 8, meeting recognized Links Technology Solutions, Inc. and Ala Carte Entertainment as outstanding 50th anniversary partners.

Links Technology Solutions has been an active and outstanding member of the Schaumburg business community since 1999, and the invaluable technology Park Partner for the district since 2007. The company has provided development and support for the district websites and mobile applications. Links Technology supports the district’s charitable initiatives through title sponsorship of the Links Technology Cup benefiting the Schaumburg Park Foundation.

Links Technology founder, president and CEO Brian Burke also has generously supported the district since 1986, by serving on the recreation, long-range planning, development, golf and joint advisory committees.

In addition to Schaumburg Park District, the technology company supports parks and recreation statewide through corporate membership in the Illinois Association of Park Districts and won the association’s “Best Friend of Illinois Parks, Small Business” Award in 2011.

Ala Carte Entertainment has provided outstanding food, beverage and entertainment options to Schaumburg residents for more than 40 years. The company has operated Chandler’s restaurant and banquet facility at the district’s Schaumburg Golf Club since February 1995. Due to Ala Carte’s high standards of ambience, food, beverage and service, the restaurant has been a perfect complement to the golf club.

Ala Carte has supported the district’s charitable initiatives through generous donations and participation in the Park Foundation’s Links Technology Cup and Solstice Hop and Vine Fest.

Schaumburg Park District park board meets at 7:30 p.m. the second Thursday of every month at the Jerry Handlon Administration Building. The district honors an organization each month during its 50th anniversary.
