St. Edward falls to Regina
Regina Dominican 2, St. Edward 1: St. Edward managed just 5 hits in losing its semifinal game of the Class 3A St. Viator regional. Kali Kossakowski was 2-for-3 with 2 stolen bases for the Green Wave, one of them a theft of home after fellow senior Ashley Gradisher executed a perfect first-and-third steal from first base. Gradisher, Allison Stratman and Julie Larson had the other St. Edward hits. Lindsay Zdroik took the loss for the Wave (13-14), striking out 13 with 1 walk.
