Des Plaines Camera Club March is ramping up to be Competition Month!

The Des Plaines Camera Club is a group of individuals who share an interest in photography. The club provides encouragement to members to expand their interests in photography in which they not only learn from one another, but also have an outlet for their creative interest. Meetings include workshops, lectures, and demonstrations in computer programs and traditional film and digital photography. The club is a member of Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (C.A.C.C.A) and enters monthly inter-club contest.

March 11 will focus on the ‘Postcard Competition'. Creating a post card is an easy, inexpensive photo activity that all members, whether seasoned photographers or newbie's, can participate in and learn from. This is an opportunity to see some of these wonderful postcards as well as talk with the photographers who created them over pizza. Tonight is Free Pizza Night.

March 25th will be ‘Competition Night'. This is an opportunity to see the quality photography which is created by the members. The competition will cover both prints (large and small) and Digital Processed Images (Black and White).

The Des Plaines Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month September thru May. Meetings are at 7:00pm in the Des Plaines Park District Arndt Field House located at 1990 White Street in Des Plaines.

Guests are always welcome. Whatever level of interest in photography you have, all are cordially invited to attend a meeting. For additional information regarding the Club and meeting schedules, you are encouraged to visit us at www.desplainescameraclub.com or contact club President Tom Mulick, 847-364-1929, or by email at photobytomm@comcast.net
