Schaumburg bunny will hop to your house

Encouraged by the success of the Santa Claus house calls it's organized in recent years, the Schaumburg Park District is now taking the Easter Bunny out of the mall and sending him to your living room.

The program is available only to residents of the park district, who can arrange for a five-minute visit between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. on March 30, March 31 or April 1.

Registration is needed. It costs $20 and the deadline is 5 p.m. March 23. After registration, park officials will call to confirm the approximate time of arrival.

"Santa visits were so popular in the past, so we thought, why not have the Bunny make some appearances in Schaumburg as well?" said Gwen Strombeck, special events supervisor for the park district.
