Briefs: Dist. 303 threat found

St. Charles School District 303 says it will beef up security today at East High School after a specific threat of violence was found Tuesday on a washroom wall. Police have deemed the message, which mentioned "bombs across the school" and a "main target" of 15 students and seven teachers, as not credible, according to the district. A $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the vandal is being offered. Tuesday's message was discovered just four days after another threat was found in a baseball dugout at North High School, and less than a month after one was found in a bathroom, also at North. The district is offering $2,000 rewards in those cases as well. To report information, call (630) 377-4750. To remain anonymous, call (866) 378-4267.
