College of DuPage STEMCON returns April 30 in hybrid format
Join College of DuPage for STEMCON, a free event celebrating science, technology, engineering and math, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Physical Education Center on the college's Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
STEMCON is a public outreach event designed to inspire and educate kindergarten to 12th grade students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Learn about scientific careers from actual researchers, industry representatives and STEM educators.
"We recognize that students today are preparing for jobs which may not exist yet. Our event helps develop STEM skills that give them the tools they need to be successful in the future," said Sara Spaniol, COD STEM Outreach Coordinator. "We want our attendees to find their passion for STEM and spark their curiosity to continue exploring beyond this event."
Offered in a hybrid format this year, events include outdoor exhibits and virtual on-demand activities. In-person workshops also will be available.
Geared toward middle school audiences, workshops expand STEM knowledge in a small group setting.
Preregistration is required and registration is limited to one workshop per person.
