Harper bonds earn AAA rating

Moody's Investors Service has reaffirmed its AAA rating of Harper College's bonds in anticipation of repairs and renovations to campus buildings. In November, residents authorized the Palatine college to sell $153.6 million of new bonds. Harper is one of only two community colleges in Illinois to have earned Moody's highest rating, which allows it to borrow money at the lowest available rates and save taxpayers on interest costs over the life of the bonds.
